Isn't it true that we live in a time where the average person's attention span/curiosity is gone in a matter of seconds? Aren't most people worried about advertising/marketing to others because it seems too difficult to gain any real traction?
Is there a resolution? Absolutely! You must remain consistent in your distribution of content to the end-user. It's like an insurance commercial you hate because it plays every 30 minutes, but it seems to be the only brand you can remember when it's time to find a provider. Point is... the internet is expanding rapidly, it's harder to maximize reach to your audience/potential clients if you're just active on one social media site. You need to stay in front of people with your activities/work if you are to make an impact. What if they spend most of their time on twitter, but you're only on facebook? What if they dislike the intrusiveness and functional complexity of facebook, but adore the freedom of instagram or pinterest? Get my drift? You need to be active on several, if you are to reach the interests of potential clients and fans.
